The Commercial Manager is a strategic leader responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and optimizing commercial operations across retail and digital channels. Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth
Define and execute commercial strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets across all channels (studio, digital, stockists).
Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activity to inform pricing, promotions, and product strategies.
Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams, implementing initiatives to improve conversion and profitability.
Collaborate with internal teams to increase customer retention, optimize cross-selling / upselling, and address market opportunities.
Monitor performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team effectiveness and sales outcomes.
2. Business Development & Partnerships
Develop and maintain strategic relationships with existing and potential stockists, key accounts, and B2B partners to expand market reach.
Identify untapped market segments, negotiate commercial agreements, and lead initiatives to secure new business opportunities.
Conduct competitor benchmarking and market analysis to inform growth strategies and support informed decision-making.
Lead contract negotiations, ensuring alignment with brand standards, profitability goals, and long-term growth objectives.
3. Stockist & Inventory Management
Oversee stockist onboarding, training, and performance, ensuring compliance with brand standards, pricing, and merchandising guidelines.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishments to maintain optimal stock availability and prevent stockouts or excess inventory.
Conduct regular stockist performance reviews, providing actionable insights to optimize sales, inventory turnover, and partner profitability.
4. Studio & Customer Experience Management
Ensure the studio delivers a premium, welcoming customer experience through professional presentation, ambiance, and service standards.
Set high standards for customer service across all touchpoints (in-person, WhatsApp, Instagram, email) and train staff to maintain them.
Implement post-sale follow-up processes to enhance customer satisfaction, loyalty, and repeat purchases.
5. Marketing & Digital Engagement
Collaborate with the marketing team to post content on WhatsApp and other digital channels, ensuring alignment with brand messaging and promotional campaigns.
Use digital platforms strategically to engage customers, drive sales, and promote brand initiatives.
6. Product Merchandising & Visual Presentation
Supervise product restocking, visual merchandising, and campaign-specific displays to maximize sales and customer engagement.
Recommend improvements to studio layout, functionality, and process efficiency to enhance operational performance and customer experience.
7. Delivery, Fulfillment & Pricing Strategy
Oversee local and international order fulfillment, resolving logistics or delivery issues to maintain service standards.
Regularly review pricing strategies and positioning to align with market trends, profitability targets, and customer expectations.
8. Leadership & Team Development
Foster a culture of effective communication, collaboration, and accountability within the sales and commercial teams.
Coach and mentor team members to drive performance, professional growth, and alignment with commercial objectives.
Model proactive problem-solving and strategic thinking, reinforcing a customer-centric, results-oriented team culture.
