Job description

Our client is building the future of Africa’s workforce by equipping organizations with innovative talent management tools through their People Management Platform . They are on the look out for for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join their team. This role involves combining relentless outreach, data-driven strategy, and being technical savvy to open the doors to mid-market companies. If you believe sales is a meticulous discipline and you're ready to master the craft of pipeline generation, this is your launchpad.

  • You are comfortable with technology, utilizing CRM tools and AI-powered tools to optimize your workflow and outreach efficiency.
  • You are comfortable and confident in engaging senior decision-makers through both multiple forms of outreach .

Your Responsibilities…

  • You will dedicate the majority of your time to identifying, researching, and opening new business opportunities across target industries and accounts.
  • You will execute rigorous multi-channel outbound campaigns to engage senior decision-makers.
  • You will expertly qualify inbound leads generated by marketing efforts, ensuring a smooth, high-quality handoff to the Account Executives.

  • Maintain accurate records of all prospecting activities and conversations within CRM systems (HubSpot, Apollo, Attio, or similar).
  • You will use AI powered tools to improve outreach efficiency, personalization, and conversion rates.
  • You will collaborate closely with Account Executives and Marketing to refine messaging and optimize conversion funnels.
  • You will consistently hit or exceed monthly metrics for meetings booked and qualified opportunities created.
  • You will stay informed on the company's solutions, competitive landscape, and customer use cases to speak confidently with prospects.
  • What Success looks like…

  • Consistently hitting or exceeding monthly metrics for meetings booked and qualified opportunities created for the Account Executives.
  • Demonstrating the required Resilience by averaging 15 to 21 quality touchpoints per prospect before disengagement.
  • Successfully utilizing and testing AI and automation tools, resulting in a measurable improvement in outreach efficiency and conversion rates.
  • Maintaining a high level of CRM discipline with accurate records of all prospecting activities, providing reliable data for pipeline reviews.
  • Proactively providing useful feedback to Marketing and Account Executives that leads to the successful refinement of at least one core outreach message per quarter.
  • To be considered for this role you should have…

  • At least 2+ years of experience in B2B sales development or business development, preferably in a SaaS or high growth environment.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed activity and pipeline generation goals.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable engaging senior decision makers.
  • Persistent, self-motivated, and driven by measurable outcomes.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools such as HubSpot, Apollo, or similar.
  • Comfortable using AI and automation tools to optimize workflow and outreach.
  • A growth mindset : curious, coachable, and eager to master the craft of sales.
