Job Purpose
The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth. The role combines market analysis, strategic planning, and collaboration with internal teams to enhance market presence and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development Strategy & Planning
- Develop and execute strategic business development plans to expand the customer base and increase revenue.
- Collaborate with senior management to set commercial goals aligned with corporate objectives.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to guide strategy.
- Develop compelling value propositions and monitor market trends for continuous improvement.
2. Client Development & Relationship Management
Build strong relationships with clients, buyers, and suppliers, particularly within the petroleum and crude oil sectors.Identify and pursue new business opportunities with IOCs and NOCs.Maintain an accurate customer database and conduct regular engagement activities.Collect and act on customer feedback to improve service delivery.3. Sales Lifecycle Management
Prepare proposals, quotations, and negotiate contracts to achieve commercial targets.Ensure registration and compliance with key industry operators and regulatory standards.Collaborate across departments to streamline the sales process for efficiency.4. Operational Development
Develop an operational framework to support the BD function.Monitor and evaluate departmental performance against strategic KPIs.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Qualifications & Experience
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field. MBA or Master’s degree preferred.Experience : 7–12 years post-graduation experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial business development role within a relevant sector.Professional Membership : Membership in a recognized industry body is an advantage.Core Competencies & Skills :
