Role Overview
The Hotel Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations,financial performance, and guest experience.This includes leading the F&B program, curating cultural and lifestyle activations, and maintaining the highest hospitality standards while embedding the brand's unique identity.Key Responsibilities
Operations & Leadership :
Manage daily hotel, F&B, and lifestyle operations.Supervise all departments (front office, housekeeping, F&B, events, retail).Hire, train, and lead staff to deliver premium guest experiences.Food & Beverage (F&B) Management :
Oversee Wanu Kitchen and bar operations.Develop menus in collaboration with chefs, celebrating African cuisine with modern flair.Drive innovation in dining concepts, service, and delivery.Guest Experience & Service Excellence :
Ensure exceptional, personalized guest experiences.Design cultural activations (art exhibitions, fashion pop-ups, culinary nights, film screenings).Manage guest feedback and ensure continuous improvement.Financial & Business Management :
Monitor budgets, forecasts, and profitability across hotel and F&B.Manage supplier contracts, inventory, and cost controls.Drive revenue through rooms, F&B, retail, and cultural events.Culture & Brand Integration :
Curate experiences that celebrate history, heritage, and African storytelling.Collaborate with the creative team for gallery curation, events, and brand showcases.Compliance & Standards :
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hospitality regulations.Maintain world-class service standards in line with boutique hospitality benchmarks.Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field (Master's is a plus).Minimum of 5 years' experience in hotel management (preferably boutique / luxury or international chain).Strong background in Food & Beverage operations.Proven ability to curate cultural or lifestyle-driven guest experiences.Deep knowledge of hospitality trends, guest relations, and service excellence.Strong leadership, communication, and financial management skills.Passion for history, culture, and African creativity.Qualities We Value :
