Job Description
The Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and supporting decision-making through timely financial reporting. The role includes bookkeeping, reconciliations, tax compliance, and assisting with budgeting and audits. The Accountant plays a critical role in ensuring the financial health and integrity of the organization.
- Record and reconcile daily financial transactions in line with accounting standards (IFRS / GAAP).
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Perform bank, vendor, and inter-company reconciliations.
- Support budget preparation and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulatory requirements, and filing deadlines.
- Maintain fixed asset register and ensure proper depreciation accounting.
- Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring provision of accurate documentation.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets.
- Provide timely financial data and insights to management.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate cost allocations and reporting.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.Professional certification or progress toward one (ACA, ACCA, CPA) preferred.2–5 years’ experience in accounting or finance.Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP).Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Sage).Strong Excel and data analysis skills.High attention to detail and integrity.
