Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Accountant to manage the financial records, reporting, and compliance of our growing technology company. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial management, support budgeting and forecasting, and help the company maintain strong financial health as it scales.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ledgers, and journals.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
Manage payroll processing and ensure statutory deductions (PAYE, pension, tax, etc.) are remitted promptly.
Monitor cash flow, budgets, and financial forecasts.
Support management with financial analysis to guide strategic decision-making.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and local tax regulations.
Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and liaise with external auditors.
Implement and improve internal financial controls and accounting systems.
Provide financial insights on project costing, technology investments, and operational efficiency.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional qualification (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent) preferred.
3+ years of relevant accounting experience — experience in a tech or startup environment is an advantage.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax laws, and financial reporting standards.
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho Books, Xero, Sage).
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
