Our client, a leading player in the bottling and packaging industry, is seeking a skilled Cost Accountant to join their finance team in Agbara. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a high-performance environment focused on precision, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

As Cost Accountant, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring financial accuracy and operational control. You’ll oversee the management of supplier invoices, cost analysis, reconciliations, and reporting, all crucial to supporting strategic business decisions and ensuring compliance.
What You’ll Do
- Process importer suppliers’ invoices daily after matching with purchase orders and goods received notes.
- Run voucher journal reports and ensure completeness of incidental cost processing.
- Review and reconcile creditors’ age analysis weekly to identify and resolve issues.
- Perform foreign creditors’ reconciliations between SAP and suppliers’ statements.
- Prepare monthly remittance advice for all foreign creditor payments.
- Manage forex payment submissions to banks and ensure timely approvals.
- Maintain and update costing files monthly, ensuring accuracy in SAP costing.
- Support the finance team through documentation, analysis, and administrative tasks.
Requirements
Degree in Accounting or relevant field (ACA / ACCA preferred).Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar accounting or cost management role.Proficiency in MS Office; experience with ERP systems (SAP an advantage).Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.Deadline-driven and able to thrive under pressure.High integrity and attention to detail.Benefits
