Financial Accountant

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

▪ Oversee the management of the General Ledger (GL) and books of accounts, ensuring

compliance with IFRS and other applicable standards

▪ Responsible for the preparation of the financial statements and other related duties.

▪ Prepare performance reports on a timely basis, for the attention of the CFO.

▪ Manage all external and group financial reporting (Group Accounts) and ensure that the

accounts are in line with all applicable internal and external guidelines and timing

• requirements;

▪ Responsible for the preparation of Board Report.

▪ Ensure that Internal Controls Standards lined to accounting operations are fully implemented

▪ Liaise with Finance Manager and other Account officers in the Group to ensure the provision

of accurate and timely financial information.

▪ Provide support to internal and external auditors in the discharge of their duties.

▪ Advise and assist the organization and its Business Unit in all tax-related activities

▪ Build relationships with regulatory authorities and various tax consultants of the company.

▪ Proactively generate, share relevant and valuable tax ideas that assist tax planning exercise.

Job Requirements

▪ Technical (Accounting) Competence

▪ Strong leadership potential

▪ Personal and intra-personal Communication skills

▪ Analytical skills / Problem analysis and solving skills.

▪ Good attention to detail.

▪ Good knowledge of Sage Pastel application

▪ Practical knowledge of local and international accounting standards -IAS and IFRS

▪ Advance MS – Excel, Word and PowerPoint knowledge

▪ Good integrity and ethics; Trustworthiness.

Minimum Qualifications

▪ A first degree in Accounting, Economics or any numerate discipline.

▪ Professional certification e.g. ACA, ACCA,

▪ Relevant post graduate degree (MBA, MSc) will be an added advantage.

▪ Six (6) years portfolio management experience with at least three (3) years’ experience at

middle or senior management level in manufacturing / printing company
