Our client is an investment holding company that seeks to add value to Life. They operate across the Life science research and development, Food processing, manufacturing and Real-estate segments. Due to Expansion they are in need of an ACCOUNTANT
Location : Lagos State
Job Responsibilities
- Record day-to-day financial transactions (e.g. purchases, sales, receipts, payments).
- Maintain accurate ledgers, journals, and account reconciliations.
- Ensure that all transactions are properly documented, authorized, and coded.
- Process supplier invoices, track outstanding payments, and prepare vendor payments.
- Generate and send customer invoices; monitor receivables and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Reconcile accounts with suppliers and customers regularly.
- Monitor bank accounts and perform regular bank reconciliations.
- Record cash transactions and maintain petty cash records.
- Reconcile cash balances with system records and report variances.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Contribute to budget tracking and expenditure variance reporting.
Job Requirements
B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, ICAN in progress or completed) are advantageous.3–5 years of experience in a finance or accounting support role.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential (pivot tables, formulas, basic dashboards).Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Zoho, or ERP systems) is an advantage.High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial documentation.Demonstrated integrity, discretion, and ability to handle sensitive financial information.Strong work ethic and reliability; must be accountable and deadline-conscious.Good communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work well in a team.Eagerness to learn and grow in a structured finance team with proper processes.
