We’re looking for a passionate Community Manager (Volunteer) to nurture and grow our online and offline communities, ensuring they remain safe, engaging, and supportive for users, caregivers, and partners. This role is perfect for someone who is empathetic, digitally savvy, and committed to advancing mental health equity.
Key Responsibilities
Community Engagement : Foster conversations across FriendnPal’s WhatsApp groups, mobile app forums, and social channels.
Content Moderation : Ensure community spaces are safe, trauma-informed, and respectful, escalating risks to mental health professionals when necessary.
Volunteer Coordination : Support peer mentors, moderators, and ambassadors in community activities.
Events & Campaigns : Organize virtual events, awareness campaigns, and storytelling initiatives to boost user engagement.
Feedback Loops : Gather user insights and share them with the product and research teams to inform platform improvements.
Partnership Support : Help activate grassroots partnerships with NGOs, schools, and youth groups through community activities.
Requirements
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Passion for mental health, digital inclusion, and community building.
Experience managing online groups or communities (preferred but not required).
Empathy, cultural sensitivity, and ability to engage with diverse populations.
Familiarity with WhatsApp, Telegram, or community management platforms.
