The Volunteer Project Coordinator will play a key role in executing projects and driving growth for Scholar ChitChat and sister initiatives both online and offline. Working closely with other members of the team, this role will focus on identifying viable opportunities for the initiatives and bringing key ideas to life. This role is not limited to Scholar Chit Chat alone, but will extend to other initiatives under this umbrella as the need arises.
Key Responsibilities
Developing, supporting and brainstorming new ideas and projects, in alignment with the organisation’s goals and mission.
Organising programmes and activities, as well as conducting research based on new concepts in alignment with the goals of the organisation.
Overseeing project life-cycles end-to-end, from ideation to execution / evaluation, as well as managing changes and interventions to ensure project goals are achieved.
Maintaining smooth communication with team and clients about project status and deliverables.
Developing a budget and operating plan for the organisation's programmes, as well as writing program funding proposals and grants requests to sponsor the initiatives’ projects.
Collaborating with the team to ensure that goals are met in terms of quality of work and team member performance.
Writing detailed and timely program reports to assess performance and achievements.
Key Requirements
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Great research, writing and PowerPoint skills.
Proven experience managing projects and writing grant requests.
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
A passion for / interest in sharing knowledge, volunteering and making an impact.
An ability to collaborate, deliver results and embrace learning.
Self-motivation, proactiveness, and an ability to meet deadlines.
Interest in and knowledge of effective strategies for community building.
