Cost Accountant

Our client, a reputable leader in the manufacturing sector, is seeking to hire an exceptional Cost Accountant

Key Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.

Professional certification, such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA. is required.

Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive cost accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, inventory valuation, and production processes.

Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain cost accounting systems, documentation, and procedures.

Prepare and analyze cost reports, product costing, and variance analyses to support management decision-making.

Monitor and control manufacturing overheads, material costs, and labor efficiency.

Conduct monthly and quarterly closing activities related to inventory valuation, WIP, and cost of goods sold.

Collaborate with production and procurement teams to analyze cost drivers and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Prepare detailed budgets and forecasts and track performance against targets.

Review standard costs periodically and update as necessary based on current production realities.

Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and audit requirements.

Support management in pricing strategies and margin analysis for various product lines.

Lead cost reduction initiatives and provide recommendations for process improvement.

Supervise cost accounting team members and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
