We require for immediate employment a technically sound and result-oriented individual to fill the vacant position below : Job Title : Senior AccountantRef Code : GPLX / LAG / 270722Location : Lagos Job SummaryThe senior accountant will be responsible for preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, preparing tax returns, coordinating audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned. Primary Responsibilities :

• Preparation of Financial Statements and Financial Reporting
• Tax Management and Tax Returns Filing
• Liaising with external auditors
• Performance of Accounting, Finance and Tax functions
• Coordination of Banking activities and Banking transactions both manually and online (cheque / cash deposits, cash receipt, payment transfer, cheque books etc.)
• Raising of payments ensuring proper authorizations – via cheque and electronic funds transfer
• Keeping up to date record of all accounting transactions / reports via an ERP Software with daily inflow and outflow. Requirements :
• Minimum of Second-Class Upper Degree in B.SC. Accounting
• Must be a chartered accountant
• Minimum of 5 years working experience in the Oil and Gas Servicing Sector
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Accounting Software and ERP
• Must possess thorough knowledge of Accounting (standards, principles and guidelines) and understanding of Tax Laws
• Able to work with minimal supervision, be self-motivated and target driven.
• Organizational, verbal, and written communication skills is a must.
• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task is an asset. Other Skills Required : Proactive, autonomy, planning, analytical, clear communication, work under pressure.
