Team Lead I

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of Business Banking Officers focused on sourcing and growing SME and corporate clients in Lagos markets.

Drive loan portfolio growth by structuring tailored lending solutions for traders, market associations, and SMEs.

Build strong relationships with market leaders, associations, and unions to deepen access and penetration.

Monitor portfolio performance, ensure quality lending, and maintain repayment discipline.

Mentor, coach, and develop the business banking team to achieve targets.

Represent the bank in market forums and drive financial inclusion initiatives within the informal sector.

Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and regulatory guidelines.

Requirements

Proximity to / understanding of markets around Lagos Island, Yaba, and Tejuosho axis

BSc / HND in Banking & Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.

Minimum of 5 years’ progressive experience in business / SME banking, with proven lending expertise.

Strong understanding of Lagos’ major markets and experience dealing with market men, women, and trade associations.

Exceptional lending, credit analysis, and portfolio management skills.

Excellent leadership, negotiation, and relationship management abilities.

Demonstrated track record of meeting and exceeding business growth targets.
