Position : Senior Human Resource Officer Industry : Technology Location : Lekki, Lagos, Nigeria Job Type : Full-Time (On-site) Budget : Open to Negotiation Job Description (Summary) : As Senior HR, you will oversee HR strategies, people operations, talent initiatives, and compliance functions to support a high-growth IT environment. You’ll play a strategic role in building a strong employer brand, cultivating a vibrant workplace culture, and scaling processes that enable business success. Key Responsibilities : Strategic HR Leadership : Partner with executive leadership to shape HR strategy that supports business growth and agility in a fast-paced tech environment. Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding : Drive recruitment strategies to attract top-tier tech talent in areas like software development, DevOps, data science, and cybersecurity. Build and promote a strong employer brand across digital platforms and tech communities. Performance Management : Implement and manage performance management systems by ensuring continuous feedback and career development pathways for technical teams. Employee Engagement : Foster a culture that values transparency, continuous learning, and psychological safety. Use data-driven insights to improve retention and employee satisfaction. Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) : Champion DEI programs to build a diverse and inclusive workforce reflective of the global tech community. HR Operations & Compliance : Oversee core HR functions including payroll, benefits, employee relations, and compliance with labor laws in multiple jurisdictions (especially if operating in global markets). Learning & Development : Create and scale training programs for technical upskilling, leadership development, and soft skills enhancement. Technology-Driven HR : Leverage HRIS, ATS, and analytics tools to streamline HR processes and deliver actionable workforce insights. Any other duties as may be assigned. Required Qualifications & Experience : Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred). 7+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a senior HR leadership role within a tech or IT organization. Deep understanding of challenges in recruiting and retaining tech talent. Strong knowledge of employment regulations, especially in tech hubs or multi-country setups. Proven track record in organizational development, change management, and strategic HR planning. Familiarity with modern HR tools (e.g., SeamlessHR, SAP, TALLY etc.). Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Must be ready to travel at the shortest possible time.
