Our client is a leading group of companies in Nigeria. Due to expansion they are in need of a TALENT ACQUISITION AND DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST.
LOCATION : Lagos
Job Summary : The Talent Acquisition and Development Specialist is responsible for managing the complete talent acquisition process and implementing comprehensive Learning and Development (L&D) programs. Ensures the organization attracts, hires, and develops top talent while building internal capabilities through structured training initiatives.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Manage end-to-end recruitment process from job requisition to onboarding
- Develop and implement talent acquisition strategies aligned with business needs
- Source candidates through various channels including job portals, networking, and referrals
- Conduct initial screening, interviews, and candidate assessments
- Maintain positive relationships with hiring managers and candidates
- Design and implement comprehensive L&D programs for employee development
- Assess training needs through performance reviews, skill gap analysis, and business requirements
- Coordinate internal and external training programs and workshops
- Manage training budgets and vendor relationships
- Evaluate training effectiveness and ROI of L&D initiatives
- Design and implement leadership development programs
- Create succession planning frameworks and talent pipeline strategies
- Manage mentorship and coaching programs within the organization
- Coordinate professional development opportunities for employees
- Track and report on employee development progress and career advancement
JOB REQUIREMENTS :
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.Minimum of 4–6 years’ experience in recruitment, talent management, and learning & development.Professional certification such as CIPM, SHRM, or CIPD is an added advantage.Proven experience managing end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes.Experience designing and implementing employee training and development programsUnderstanding of succession planning, career development frameworks, and leadership programs.Ability to measure and report on L&D effectiveness and ROI.Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
