Job Overview :
Our client in the FMCG industry is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Compensation & Benefits Specialist to design, implement, and manage our organization's compensation and benefits programs. This role is key to ensuring competitive, fair, and compliant compensation structures that attract and retain top talent while aligning with company goals and budget.
Key Responsibilities :
Assist in the development and administration of compensation and benefits policies and programs.
Conduct market research and salary bench-marking to ensure competitiveness in compensation structures.
Evaluate job descriptions and classifications to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.
Support the design, implementation, and communication of salary structures, bonus programs, and incentive plans.
Manage employee benefits programs including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, and leave policies.
Coordinate with third-party providers to administer benefits effectively.
Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations related to compensation and benefits.
Prepare reports and analytic related to compensation trends, benefit utilization, and cost forecasting.
Participate in annual compensation review cycles, including salary increases, bonuses, and promotions.
Provide guidance and support to HR and management teams on pay decisions, policy interpretations, and benefits-related inquiries.
Stay updated with compensation trends and best practices.
Skills :
Strong knowledge of HR policies, labor laws, and compensation bench-marking, principles, and practices including job evaluation, market analysis and pay structures.
Good understanding of benefit administration, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefits.
Ability to manage attendance and leave policies, procedures, and systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Effective communication with employees, management, and stakeholders to ensure attendance, leave, payroll, general compensation and benefit issues are resolved efficiently.
Ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in attendance, leave and payroll administration, including compliance with laws and regulations.
Analytical and data interpretation skills.
Confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive data.
Qualifications & Experience :
B.Sc. / HND in Human Resources, Finance, or related field.
3–4 years' experience Compensation & Benefits Specialist or similar HR role.
Strong understanding of compensation and benefits principles, best practices, and regulations.
Analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel and HR systems (e.g., SAP, Workday, Oracle).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary Range : ₦250,000 – ₦270,000 per month
