Key Responsibilities :
Design, configure, and maintain core network elements including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
Manage and support IP / MPLS backbone, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS), and Layer 2 / 3 network technologies.
Ensure network availability, scalability, and performance through proactive monitoring and capacity planning.
Implement and maintain Quality of Service (QoS), traffic engineering, and network optimization measures.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex network incidents within defined SLAs.
Collaborate with Transmission, Access, and NOC teams to ensure end-to-end service integrity.
Participate in network upgrades, migrations, and new service deployments.
Maintain network documentation, topology diagrams, and configuration databases.
Conduct periodic performance analysis and security audits on the core network infrastructure.
Provide technical support and mentorship to junior engineers and field technicians.
Requirements :
B.Sc. or HND in Electrical / Electronics, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
Minimum of 3–5 years experience in a similar role within a telecommunications or ISP environment.
Strong knowledge of IP / MPLS, VPNs, VLANs, QoS, and network routing / switching.
Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Mikrotik, or Huawei network devices.
Experience with monitoring tools such as PRTG, SolarWinds, or Nagios.
Familiarity with IPv6, BGP communities, and redundancy protocols (HSRP, VRRP, etc.).
Relevant professional certifications such as CCNP, JNCIP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
