Job description

Key Duties and Responsibilities will include:

  • Operational Support: Assist with scanning, sorting, and loading packages for delivery, and assist with inventory counts.

  • Rider/Driver Coordination: Monitor rider/driver activity, optimize routes, and ensure timely drop-offs to delivery hubs and resolve issues.

  • Data & Reporting: Maintain accurate operational databases, track orders, and generate daily/weekly performance reports.

  • Item Sorting and Inspection: Manually or mechanically sort through, inspect, and remove damaged, defective, or misdirected items.

  • Documentation and Recording: Accurately record quantities, types of materials, and defects identified, maintaining documentation on sorting logs and computer systems.

  • Inventory Organization: Organize, label, and pack items into bins for distribution or further processing.

  • Safety and Maintenance: Adhere to safety (e.g., 5S standards), cycle count and environmental policies, including keeping the work area clean and reporting machine or facility malfunctions.

  • Collaboration: Work within a team to meet distribution goals, always communicating with supervisors regarding discrepancies and delays



Requirements

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Education: A graduate with a degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related fields. Should be in the process of completing or have completed NYSC to ensure he can grow with the team as he performs.

  • Skills: Basic math, organizational abilities, and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.

  • 1 – 2 years of experience in a warehouse, production, or logistics environment.

  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 20kg and stand for long periods, with good physical endurance for manual handling.

  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with barcode scanners, automated sorting machines, or computer systems is beneficial.

  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail is crucial for identifying defects and ensuring accurate sorting.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel) or Google Sheets is required.

  • Availability: Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or long shifts, in a fast-paced environment.

  • Work-days: Mondays to Saturdays (6 days a week)

  • Work hours / Shift plan: 7:00am - 3:00pm OR 11:00am - 7:00pm
