Job Summary
The HR & Admin Officer will be responsible for managing the company’s human resources functions and ensuring smooth day-to-day administrative operations. This role supports recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training, office administration, and compliance. The position is critical in creating a positive workplace culture and supporting the dynamic needs of an event-driven organization.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes for event and non-event staff
- Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook in line with best practices.
- Coordinate training and development programs, including staff orientation and upskilling for event operations.
- Handle employee relations by addressing grievances, conflict resolution, and promoting staff welfare.
- Oversee performance management systems, including appraisals and KPI tracking.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, health & safety regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate employee records, leave schedules, and HR documentation.
- Oversee day-to-day office operations and facility management.
- Manage procurement of office/event supplies and maintain vendor relationships
- Support event logistics by coordinating administrative needs for event teams.
- Draft and manage official correspondence, memos, and reports.
- Maintain filing systems, databases, and company records.
- Provide administrative support to management and other departments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2–4 years’ experience in HR & Administration (experience in hospitality or event management industry is an advantage).
- Good knowledge of Nigerian labour laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirements.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, event-driven environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and HR software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
