Job Summary :
The Security Training Advisor is responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating security-related training programs across the company. The role ensures that all security personnel, contractors, and relevant staff are trained to meet both operational needs and compliance requirements. The advisor plays a critical role in enhancing security awareness, operational readiness, and alignment with industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities :
Develop and deliver training programs for security guards, supervisors, control room operators, aviation screeners, and other security personnel.Coordinate induction and refresher training sessions related to access control, surveillance, emergency response, asset protection, and HSE integration.Conduct security awareness programs for non-security staff, including travelers, drivers, and operations teams.Evaluate training needs through site assessments, incident reviews, and skills gap analysis.Maintain and update security training manuals, SOPs, and presentation materials.Ensure all training programs align with company policies, ISO standards, ISPS code, and national security regulations.Conduct on-the-job coaching and field evaluations of security staff.Work with external training vendors and certification bodies as needed.Keep accurate training records, attendance logs, and competency assessments.Monitor training effectiveness through post-training evaluations and performance improvement tracking.Key Requirements :
Education & Certification :
Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Education, Criminology, or related field.Professional certifications in security and training.HSE certification is an added advantage.Knowledge of the ISPS Code, AVSEC, or industrial safety standards is beneficial.Experience :
Minimum of 57 years in a security role, with at least 2 years focused on training or capacity development.Experience in the oil and gas sector, critical infrastructure, or high-risk environments is highly preferred.Prior experience designing and implementing structured training programs is essential.Skills & Competencies :
Strong training delivery and facilitation skills.Excellent written and verbal communication, including the ability to simplify complex security concepts.Familiarity with adult learning principles and competency-based training approaches.Ability to assess performance, coach field staff, and report training outcomes.Tech-savvy : comfortable using e-learning tools, LMS platforms, and audiovisual aids.
