We are seeking an ambitious and results-oriented Area Sales Manager with 4-8 years of FMCG sales experience to manage and expand our presence in the northern region, including Kano, Katsina, Yola, Damaturu, Maiduguri, and Sokoto. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biscuits and sweets sales, and will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing distribution channels, and leading a team of sales representatives to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets in the assigned region (Kano, Katsina, Yola, Damaturu, Maiduguri, Sokoto).
- Manage and expand the distribution network, ensuring products are available in key retail outlets and market segments.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key distributors, retailers, and customers to enhance brand visibility and increase market share.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
- Lead, train, and motivate the sales team to ensure high performance and achieve sales targets.
- Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and business updates to senior management.
- Ensure proper execution of sales promotional activities and campaigns.
- Monitor and manage stock levels to ensure timely and effective product delivery to customers.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and standards in all sales activities.
- Resolve any customer complaints or issues in a professional and efficient manner.
Qualifications and Requirements :
A minimum of 4-8 years of FMCG sales experience, with a strong focus on biscuits and sweets sales.Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing sales teams effectively.In-depth knowledge of the northern Nigerian market, including Kano, Katsina, Yola, Damaturu, Maiduguri, and Sokoto regions.Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships.Highly self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational skills.Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or related field is preferred.A deep understanding of FMCG products, distribution channels, and retail dynamics.Qualified and interested candidates should send cvs to careers@worknigeria.com using the job title as the email subject
