What You'll Do
Strategic Operations Management
- Oversee all cementing and pumping operations across Port Harcourt area of responsibility
- Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with business objectives
- Set performance targets for safety, quality, efficiency, and financial metrics
- Drive operational excellence initiatives and continuous improvement programs
- Ensure service delivery meets or exceeds client expectations and contractual obligations
- Manage operational budgets, cost control, and resource optimization
Business Development & Client Management
Build and maintain strategic relationships with key clients and stakeholdersIdentify business growth opportunities and participate in commercial pursuitsSupport tender preparation, technical proposals, and contract negotiationsEnsure client satisfaction through proactive engagement and issue resolutionDrive service differentiation and competitive positioning in the marketCollaborate with commercial teams on pricing strategy and contract managementTechnical Leadership & Quality Assurance
Provide technical oversight for complex cementing operations and challenging wellsReview and approve cementing programs, risk assessments, and operational plansDrive innovation in cementing technology, techniques, and service offeringsEnsure compliance with API standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practicesInvestigate operational failures and implement corrective and preventive actionsChampion technical excellence and engineering rigor across the organizationTeam Leadership & Development
Lead, mentor, and develop cementing engineers, supervisors, and field personnelBuild high-performing teams through recruitment, training, and succession planningConduct performance management including evaluations, coaching, and development plansFoster culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learningManage organizational structure, roles, and responsibilities for optimal effectivenessPromote employee engagement, retention, and career growth opportunitiesHSE Leadership
Champion safety culture and drive HSE performance across all operationsEnsure implementation of HSE management systems and compliance programsSet HSE objectives and monitor leading / lagging indicatorsLead incident investigations and ensure effective corrective actionsParticipate in HSE audits, management reviews, and regulatory inspectionsDrive safety leadership visibility through field visits and engagementEquipment & Asset Management
Oversee cementing equipment fleet including maintenance, reliability, and utilizationDevelop capital expenditure plans for equipment upgrades and expansionEnsure adequate equipment capacity to meet operational demandsImplement asset management strategies to optimize lifecycle costsCoordinate with maintenance, logistics, and supply chain functionsMonitor equipment performance metrics and drive improvement initiativesFinancial Management & Reporting
Manage P&L responsibility for cementing service line operationsControl operational costs and drive efficiency to improve marginsMonitor revenue, profitability, and cash flow performancePrepare and present operational and financial reports to senior managementEnsure accurate forecasting, budgeting, and financial planningDrive commercial discipline in pricing, contracting, and cost managementCoordination & Stakeholder Management

Requirements
Who You Are
Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related engineering field (Master's degree preferred)Minimum 8+ years' experience in cementing operations with at least 3 years in management roles in oil & gasProven track record in operations management, client relationship management, and business leadershipDeep technical expertise in cementing engineering, well construction, and oilfield servicesExperience managing P&L, budgets, and commercial performanceStrong knowledge of HSE management systems and regulatory complianceWhat You Bring
