Job descriptionSafely transport company staff as well as finished goods and raw materials to and from manufacturing plants, farms, retail and other distribution centers. Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventive maintenance. Adjusting travel routes to avoid traffic congestion or road construction. Refuel and clean vehicle. Report road accidents to the direct supervisor and the maintenance department. Follow traffic laws. Ensure that vehicle documents / particulars are correct and up to date. Document and log work periods and kilometres spent driving and retain fuel / toll receipts. Document loading and unloading process where necessary. Comply with driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations and parking) as well as with company policies and procedures. Maintain a positive attitude with staff and customers at all times. Keeping the company vehicle clean and properly maintained by performing regular washing, cleaning, and vehicle maintenance. Must be able to resolve emergency and non-emergency situation that occur on the way to and from any official task Keep commercial driverÍs license up to date. Collet and verify delivery instructions. Report defects, accidents or violations. Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance at all times and observe company dress regulations. Assist in training associates when assigned Comply with company policies and regulations. Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs. Negotiable.
