Job description

Are you a visionary Product Manager ready to build and localize the next generation of Voice AI solutions for African healthcare?

Our client believes that the future of healthcare efficiency relies on removing administrative burdens from doctors and nurses. As the Product Manager, you will own the end-to-end product roadmap for their core voice-to-text and language model solutions, defining how this technology simplifies complex medical workflows for frontline users and enterprise clients across the continent.

Who we are looking for?

  • You are a proven Product Leader with experience translating ambitious strategic goals into a clear, executable Voice AI roadmap.
  • You are a meticulous Execution & Delivery expert, capable of leading cross-functional squads (Engineering, Data Science, Design) to deliver product milestones like accuracy tuning, latency reduction, and multi-lingual support.
  • You are technically proficient in the Voice AI domain, able to track and adapt global benchmarks in speech recognition (STT) and LLMs for complex LMIC (Low- and Middle-Income Country) contexts.
  • You are a Collaborative Innovator, keen to work with research partners to localize models for specific challenges, such as African accents, noisy environments, and specialized medical terminology.
  • You are commercially acute, able to seamlessly transition pilot learnings into repeatable, scalable solutions for enterprise clients (insurers, call centers, hospital systems).
  • You are a user-obsessed champion, committed to co-designing solutions with doctors, nurses, and frontline users to ensure continuous product-market fit.

Your Responsibilities…

Product Strategy & Vision

  • You will define and continuously evolve the Voice AI roadmap, ensuring it is meticulously aligned with our client’s strategic goals in healthcare efficiency.
  • You will translate complex user needs (from doctors, enterprises, and call-centers) into clear, prioritized Voice AI product requirements.
  • You will continuously track global benchmarks in speech recognition (STT), Large Language Models (LLMs), and healthcare AI, specifically focusing on adapting them for local African contexts.
  • Execution & Delivery

  • You will lead high-performing cross-functional squads (Engineering, Data Science, Design, Operations) to drive timely product delivery.
  • You will own the entire experiment and feature launch process, including critical areas like accuracy tuning, latency reduction, multilingual support, and hardware bundle deployments.
  • You will be the owner of product KPIs, including STT accuracy, latency, adoption rates, ROI proof points, and overall user satisfaction metrics.
  • Voice AI Innovation & Localization

  • You will collaborate with research and data science partners to localize models specifically for challenges like African accents, noisy environmental conditions, and specialized medical terminology.
  • You will actively identify opportunities to integrate with third-party AI tools and extend the client's internal voice stack for maximum functionality.
  • Enterprise Deals : From Scope to Scale

  • You will work closely with Partnerships and Business Development teams to scope and shape large enterprise deals.
  • You will translate pilot learnings into repeatable, scalable solutions for enterprise clients (insurers, hospital systems, etc.).
  • You will build rigorous frameworks to ensure quick transitions from proof-of-concept to large-scale deployments, guaranteeing adoption, measurable impact, and commercial success.
  • Stakeholder & Market Alignment

  • You will actively co-design solutions through continuous feedback loops with doctors, nurses, and frontline users to ensure maximum usability.
  • You will engage directly with enterprise stakeholders to adapt the Voice AI product for specific productivity and compliance use-cases.
  • What Success looks like…

  • Achieving a measurable improvement in core Voice AI performance KPIs, such as a reduction in transcription latency or an increase in STT accuracy for local accents within the first year.
  • Successfully translating at least two major pilot projects into repeatable, scaled deployments with enterprise clients, proving both technical and commercial viability.
  • Establishing a strong feedback loop with frontline healthcare workers, resulting in a user satisfaction rating for newly deployed features.
  • Defining and securing the roadmap for a next-generation Voice AI feature based on LLM integration or advanced localization capabilities.
  • To be considered for this role you should have…

  • Proven experience as a Product Manager, ideally within a technical field such as AI, Machine Learning, Voice, or Enterprise SaaS.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead cross-functional technical teams (Data Science, Engineering).
  • Strong analytical skills and experience defining and owning quantitative product KPIs (e.g., latency, accuracy, adoption).
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging both technical teams and non-technical enterprise stakeholders.
  • A strong, proactive commitment to a user-first, data-driven, and fast-iteration culture.
  • The Goodies…

  • Highly Competitive Salary depending on experience, qualifications, and cultural fit.
  • The opportunity to pioneer the application of cutting-edge Voice AI and LLM technology in the high-impact sector of African healthcare.
  • Direct influence on the core product strategy of a mission-driven organization.
  • High autonomy and ownership over a critical strategic product vertical.
  • The chance to champion a user-first, data-driven culture and mentor technical teams.
