Position: Primary Class Teacher

An esteemed educational institution located in Lagos, Nigeria, is seeking a qualified and dedicated Primary Class Teacher to join the team. This is a full-time, 2-year contract position, with the possibility of extension based on performance.

As a Primary Class Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a positive and engaging learning environment for students in grades 1-6. You will be responsible for developing and implementing lesson plans, assessing student progress, and communicating with parents and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

- Create and implement engaging and developmentally appropriate lesson plans for students in grades 1-6

- Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities

- Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents

- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and coordinate curriculum and activities

- Maintain a safe and positive learning environment for students

- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress and any concerns

- Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and parent-teacher conferences as required

- Participate in school events and activities, such as field trips and extracurricular programs

- Adhere to school policies and procedures, including those related to behavior management and student discipline

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field

- Teaching certification or license

-Upper primary. UK primary curriculum. IPC experience preferred

- Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching primary grades

- Knowledge of primary curriculum and teaching methods

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents
