Job descriptionSenior Business Development Manager – Microsoft Azure & Cloud Services Location: Lagos - Island (Hybrid / Onsite) Reporting Line : Country Manager Experience Required :10–12 years Salary & Incentives : ₦1,500,000 – ₦2,000,000 monthly (Base Salary)Performance-Based Commission & Incentives Role Overview We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Business Development Manager – Microsoft Azure & Cloud Services with a strong track record in selling Microsoft Azure and enterprise cloud solutions to mid-market and large enterprise organizations. This role is suited for a commercially astute, consultative sales leader with deep knowledge of cloud transformation, enterprise IT environments, and complex B2B sales cycles. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, developing strategic enterprise accounts, and acquiring new business across multiple industries, while working closely with technical teams, Microsoft partners, and internal stakeholders. Key Responsibilities 1. Business Development & Revenue Growth D rive new business acquisition for: Microsoft Azure services Cloud migration and modernization initiatives Managed cloud services Security, backup, and disaster recovery solutions Identify, qualify, and close enterprise and mid-market sales opportunities. Build, manage, and maintain a robust sales pipeline to ensure consistent revenue delivery. Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets. 2. Enterprise Account Management Develop and sustain long-term relationships with senior decision-makers including: CIOs, CTOs, and IT Directors Heads of Infrastructure, Digital Transformation, and Technology Manage complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles. Identify and execute upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing client accounts. Serve as a trusted advisor on cloud strategy, optimization, and digital transformation. 3. Solution Selling & Cloud Advisory Position Microsoft Azure and cloud solutions based on customer business objectives and outcomes. Collaborate with cloud architects, engineers, and delivery teams to design tailored solutions and proposals. Clearly articulate value propositions around: Cost optimization and ROI Scalability and performance Security, compliance, and governance Business continuity and disaster recovery 4. Microsoft Ecosystem & Partner Engagement Work closely with Microsoft Partner Managers, CSP teams, and channel partners. Support licensing and commercial models including: Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) Enterprise Agreements (EA) Azure consumption-based pricing models Participate in joint go-to-market initiatives, partner events, and Microsoft-led campaigns. 5. Forecasting, Reporting & Market Intelligence Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and CRM data. Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) including: Revenue performance Deal size and win rates Azure consumption growth Customer lifetime value Provide market, customer, and competitive intelligence to senior leadership. Qualifications & Experience Required 10–12 years of experience in: Business development Enterprise technology sales Cloud services and solutions sales Proven track record of selling: Microsoft Azure Cloud infrastructure (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) Cloud migration and managed services Strong understanding of: Enterprise IT environments Cloud security, compliance, and governance Digital transformation initiatives Demonstrated success managing large, complex enterprise deals. Excellent negotiation, presentation, and executive-level communication skills. Education : Bachelors degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field (required). MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is highly preferred. Preferred / Nice-to-Have Microsoft certifications (e.g., Azure Fundamentals, Azure Solutions Architect, or equivalent). Experience working within the Microsoft CSP or partner ecosystem. Exposure to multi-cloud environments (AWS, Google Cloud Platform).
