Job Summary
This role is responsible for selling client’s products, services, and solutions to achieve sales revenue, drive new business expansion, and meet other performance objectives. The role focuses on business development through lead generation, prospect identification, and strategic follow-through to ensure a high conversion rate. The job holder will also foster strong client relationships and manage receivables, combining sales expertise with relationship management and a deep understanding of customer needs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales & Business Development
- Deliver sales targets by selling Halogen’s portfolio of products and services
- Prospect and identify new business opportunities; undertake business development activities
- Support the design and implementation of sales strategies and plans
- Develop and deliver presentations and pitches for sales and business development
- Monitor, track, and follow through on business leads for closure
- Grow and expand the customer base
- Conduct research and analysis to support business planning, product development, and go-to-market strategies
- Build and manage sales channels and networks
- Stay abreast of market and customer trends; leverage insights for revenue growth
2. Account Management
- Develop and maintain strategic, value-adding client relationships
- Build and manage partnerships and alliances to achieve business goals and client retention
- Engage internal and external stakeholders for optimal outcomes
- Represent Halogen at strategic events as a partner of choice
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and relationship management
- Submit monthly invoices to managed clients
- Promote electronic invoicing and online payments
- Conduct account reconciliation for clients
- Manage SLA renewals in line with contractual agreements
- Respond promptly to client requests and issues
- Conduct annual client satisfaction surveys and identify improvement areas
3. Relationship Management
- Identify key stakeholders within client organizations to build strong relationships
- Maintain regular communication with clients on products and services
- Promote and maintain a positive company image
- Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities
- Collaborate with internal teams to meet client expectations
- Understand client challenges and recommend solutions
- Maximize value from client relationships
4. Analytics & Reporting
- Conduct research and analysis to support sales strategies and business development
- Prepare sales reports and provide insights for planning and decision-making
- Develop and present sales performance reports
- Maintain an up-to-date database of prospects and pipeline
5. Marketing Support
- Contribute to the development of marketing content, materials, and strategies
- Support product launches and marketing initiatives
- Assist in executing marketing campaigns
- Contribute to the development of innovative products and solutions
Requirements
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field
Relevant professional certification
Master’s degree or MBA is an added advantage
Experience
- 3–6 years of experience in business development, sales, and account management
- Proven track record of achieving sales, revenue, and market expansion targets
- Strong network of contacts and strategic relationships
