Responsibilities :
Plan and create menu.Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cookingequipmentPrepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peelingvegetables, cutting meat etc.)Supervision of other culinary workers and oversee therunning of a kitchen.Cook food in various utensilsCheck food while cooking to stir or turnEnsure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are servedKeep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchenEnsure all food and other items are stored properlyCheck quality of ingredientsMonitor stock andplace orders when there are shortages
Requirements :
Good cooking skills for African dishes or intercontinental dishes (knowledge for both will be an advantage)
Experience in using cutting tools,cookware and bakewareKnowledge of various cookingprocedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.)Ability to follow all sanitationproceduresAbility to work in a teamGood communication skillsExcellent physical condition andstamina
