The Job
The successful candidate will work in the capacity of an Assistant Lighting Designer, this is primarily an entry-level position involving :
Working collaboratively as part of multiple high performance 3-5 person teams to deliver comprehensive lighting design scopes.The majority of work taking place via Revit. Hence complete fluency with utilising its capabilities to the maximum will be considered a key strength.A lot of learning! Key to developing at UMAYA and within lighting design will be a mentality that is open to taking the initiative by speaking up and asking questions, understanding solutions and exploring different and more efficient means of problem solving.Complete ownership of ones tasks, with a particular need for proactivity and a detail orientation. A high degree of personal accountability is demanded to ensure tasks are completed ahead of time and with a supreme level of quality control.The Profile
Whilst we're open to candidates from a variety of backgrounds who can fulfill the above defined role, successful candidates often have the following experience, expertise and educational background :
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Landscape Design , Master-Planning, Electrical Engineering or Theatrical Design :Minimum 1 year working experience in the architectural and / or building engineering design sector, with preference for candidates with at least 3 years of experience.Excellent English communication skills; both verbally and in writing and with the self-confidence to eventually develop into a position involving client presentations.Complete fluency in Revit Architecture, AutoCAD, BIM360, InDesign & Photoshop.Preference will be given to candidates capable of demonstrating (i) mastery of Photoshop (i) knowledge of and / or past experience with Dialux EVO and / or exposure to generating high-quality and context relevant imagery via AI using platforms such as Midjourney.The Employer
