Job Summary

We're seeking an exceptional Business Development Officer to drive business growth, identify new opportunities, and build strategic partnerships. The successful candidate will possess a unique blend of business acumen, market insight, and interpersonal skills.

Key Elements of the Role

  • Report to the Head Business Development
  • Identify new business opportunities, develop targeted sales strategies, and execute plans to achieve sales targets.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners
  • Research and pursue new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, and other business development techniques
  • Create and present compelling business proposals to customers and stakeholders.
  • Work with sales, marketing, and product teams to drive business outcomes and achieve sales targets
  • Manage existing customers and business relationships
  • Respond to queries and requests from customers
  • Developing sales and operational knowledge of all our products
  • Meet assigned sales target (monthly, quarterly and annual)
  • Maintain an updated database of customers, with their sales records
  • Conducting follow-up activities with the aim of exceeding customers expectation
  • Track and analyze sales performance, providing regular reporting and insights to inform business development strategies
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform business development strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes

Requirements

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree or HND in Marketing, Business Administration or a related field,
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience in business development, sales, or marketing : Proven track record of driving business growth and meeting sales targets
  • Proven related experience in a learning institution or consulting firm is an added advantage
  • Strong business acumen and market insight
  • Knowledge of local markets and ability to penetrate new markets
  • Excellent interpersonal & organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate in local dialect is an added advantage
  • Target-drive
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
