Facilitators of Upskill Educational Initiative programs are dynamic education professionals who bring a blend of practical classroom experience, pedagogical expertise, and a passion for teacher development. These individuals are critical to the success of our programs, serving as mentors, instructional leaders, and role models for our learners.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and adapt Upskill’s Training curriculum and materials to deliver structured training sessions.
- Facilitate interactive workshops, classroom simulations, and reflective activities.
- Observe teaching practice sessions and provide constructive feedback.
- Promote a culture of inquiry, collaboration, and lifelong learning among course participants.
- Evaluate participants’ performance and contribute to course assessments.
Qualifications & Experience
A minimum of a Master's degree; advanced degrees in education are preferable.At least 3 years of facilitation and training using adult learning approaches.Knowledge and understanding of Nigeria's education and school systems.Awareness of current developments and trends in teacher education.Knowledge and understanding of international education and qualification frameworks is also a plusProven experience mentoring teachers or leading professional development sessions is an advantage.Skilled in learner engagement, instructional design, and assessment strategiesFamiliarity with contemporary pedagogical practices, including learner-centred approaches and classroom management strategies, e.t.c.Core Competencies
