Job Summary

We are seeking to recruit a highly skilled Purchasing Manager for our client in the FMCG sector. The ideal candidate will oversee the procurement process, ensuring goods and services are sourced efficiently, cost-effectively, and in line with company objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Procurement :

o     Develop and execute purchasing strategies to meet business needs.

o     Analyze market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.

o     Forecast demand and manage inventory levels.

  • Supplier Management :

    • o     Identify and evaluate potential suppliers.

    o     Negotiate contracts and favorable terms with suppliers.

    o     Build and maintain long-term vendor relationships.

  • Cost Control :

    • o     Monitor and manage procurement costs.

    o     Implement cost-effective purchasing strategies.

    o     Identify areas for cost optimization.

  • Inventory Control :

    • o     Maintain optimal stock levels.

    o     Minimize excess or obsolete inventory.

  • Risk Management :

    • o     Identify and mitigate procurement risks.

    o     Develop contingency plans for supply chain disruptions.

    Requirements

    Requirements & Skills :

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, or Business Administration.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in purchasing or procurement.
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and adapt to a dynamic environment.

  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance to ensure quality and timely delivery.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet operational needs.
