My client, a well-established subsidiary of a leading multinational in the beverage sector, is seeking a Head of Sales to lead its sales strategy and execution across Nigeria. What You’ll Do
As Head of Sales, you will be responsible for shaping and executing the company’s commercial strategy across key territories. You will lead a team of experienced sales professionals to deliver consistent business results, strengthen customer engagement, and expand market share.
You’ll also be responsible for :
- Defining and implementing sales and route-to-market strategies aligned with the company’s vision.
- Developing annual sales plans to achieve growth and profitability targets.
- Leading, mentoring, and inspiring regional sales teams to deliver exceptional results.
- Strengthening distributor and trade partner relationships for optimal market coverage.
- Overseeing pricing strategies, sales budgets, and performance tracking systems.
- Collaborating with leadership on product launches, innovations, and competitive response strategies.
- Managing third-party agents and distributors to ensure efficiency and accountability.
- Driving the continuous improvement of sales processes, systems, and market execution.
Requirements
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Sales, Business Management, or related field.Minimum of 10 years’ sales and marketing experience in the FMCG or beverage sector, with 3–5 years in a senior leadership role.Proven success in route-to-market execution, distributor management, and field sales leadership.Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of ISO-based systems (ISO 9001, ISO 22000, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) is an advantage.Strong business acumen, analytical ability, and strategic thinking.A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively.Benefits
