Job Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Django Backend Engineer with strong expertise in backend architecture, frontend integration, and on-premise infrastructure management. The ideal candidate will be proficient in developing scalable, maintainable, and high-performance web applications using Django and Django REST Framework , while also managing production environments on Linux (Ubuntu) VPS .

This role combines backend engineering excellence with hands-on experience in server deployment, system optimization, and frontend integration , ensuring end-to-end application performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Django and Django REST Framework (DRF) .

Architect and implement scalable database schemas ensuring data consistency and performance.

Configure, secure, and manage Ubuntu VPS environments for deployment and optimization.

Set up and maintain Celery task queues and Redis for background processing, caching, and performance tuning.

Deploy and manage Gunicorn and Nginx for stable, secure production environments.

Design clean, modular, and efficient system architectures that support scalability and maintainability.

Integrate and maintain Bootstrap 5 and related frontend technologies for responsive and user-friendly interfaces.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical implementations.

Manage and troubleshoot on-premise infrastructure , ensuring high uptime and system reliability.

Conduct code reviews , enforce coding standards, and promote best practices across the engineering team.

Contribute to continuous process improvement through automation, optimization, and documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

5+ years of professional experience in backend development using Django and Django REST Framework.

Strong understanding of Linux (Ubuntu) administration and on-premise infrastructure management.

Proven experience deploying and managing applications using Gunicorn , Nginx , Celery , and Redis .

Expertise in system design , API architecture , and database schema design (PostgreSQL / MySQL).

Proficiency in Bootstrap 5 and basic frontend integration with Django templates or REST APIs.

Ability to translate complex business requirements into structured, actionable system components.

Solid understanding of application security , performance tuning , and scalability principles .

Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

Experience with Docker or containerized deployments.

Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines and DevOps practices .

Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, etc.).

Experience with Git-based workflows and Agile / Scrum development environments.
