Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Engineer for a contract role to help ensure the quality and reliability of the EldaKerr platform. As a QA Engineer, you will play a key role in identifying and resolving product issues, ensuring a seamless user experience for our target audience.

This is a project-based contract role with a defined timeline, ideal for a skilled professional who can contribute effectively within a set timeframe.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Test Planning & Strategy : Develop and execute test plans and cases to cover functional, regression, and performance testing.
  • Execution & Reporting : Perform manual and automated testing, document results, and report bugs or performance issues.
  • Collaborative Problem-Solving : Work closely with developers and product managers to understand requirements, address issues, and improve the platform.
  • Regression Testing : Conduct regular tests to ensure updates and fixes do not disrupt existing functionality.
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT) : Assist stakeholders during UAT to validate that the product meets user needs and business goals.
  • Bug Tracking : Log and manage bugs using tools like JIRA or Trello, ensuring clarity and resolution within project timelines.
  • Quality Metrics : Provide regular reports on testing progress, bug status, and quality metrics.

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills :

  • Educational Background : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience :
  • Proven experience as a QA Engineer, with at least 3 years in software testing.
  • Strong understanding of testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Technical Skills :
  • Proficiency in testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman).
  • Familiarity with bug-tracking systems like JIRA or Asana.
  • Knowledge of API and performance testing tools.
  • Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., Python, JavaScript) is a plus.
  • Soft Skills :
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to tasks.
  • Nice-to-Have :
  • Experience with accessibility testing.
  • Familiarity with platforms for older users.
