Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee the preparation of accurate, timely financial statements and management reports.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and all statutory reporting requirements.
- Supervise month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
- Manage external audits and liaise with regulatory bodies, auditors, and financial institutions.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis
Lead annual budgeting and financial planning cycles.Conduct financial analysis and performance tracking to guide strategic business decisions.Provide actionable insights on cost optimization, profitability, and efficiency.Develop financial models and projections to support business growth initiatives.Cash Flow & Treasury Management
Oversee cash flow planning, monitoring, and forecasting to ensure liquidity and operational continuity.Manage banking relationships, loan facilities, and investment portfolios.Implement effective working capital and risk management strategies.Internal Controls & Compliance
Strengthen financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets.Ensure compliance with tax, financial, and regulatory requirements.Oversee internal audits and implement corrective measures where necessary.Leadership & Team Development
Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team for peak performance.Drive a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and ethical conduct.Collaborate cross-functionally to align financial operations with overall business strategy.Strategic Business Support
Partner with executive leadership to evaluate investment opportunities, business expansions, and cost initiatives.Provide financial guidance for major contracts, partnerships, and capital projects.Contribute to long-term strategic planning and sustainability efforts.Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.MBA or master’s degree in finance is an added advantage.Professional certifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CPA are required.8–12 years of relevant experience, with at least 4 years in a senior financial management role within oil & gas or a related sector.Proven experience in financial planning, reporting, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Zoho, or Oracle).Strong understanding of IFRS, Nigerian tax laws, and compliance frameworks.Excellent analytical, strategic, and decision-making abilities.Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
