About the Company
Our client is a food processing company specializing in dehydration, packaging, and labeling of food products. The organization is focused on delivering high-quality processed food products that meet industry standards and evolving consumer demands.
Role Summary
The Product Development Officer will lead the end-to-end development of new food products aligned with market trends, consumer demand, and competitive positioning. The role requires strong industry exposure, innovation capability, and hands-on product formulation experience within food processing environments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead research and development of new food products based on market trends and consumer insights.
Conduct product trials, formulation adjustments, and sensory evaluations.
Improve existing product lines to enhance quality, shelf-life, and competitiveness.
Monitor industry trends, competitor products, and emerging opportunities.
Identify product differentiation strategies to maintain uniqueness and market relevance.
Collaborate with production teams to scale formulations from pilot to full production.
Ensure cost-effectiveness and commercial viability of new products.
Develop product documentation including specifications and process guidelines.
Work closely with Quality Assurance to ensure regulatory and safety compliance.
Ensure new product formulations meet food safety standards and labeling requirements.
Degree or HND in Food Science, Food Technology, or related discipline
Strong hands-on experience in food product development
Proven ability to translate market trends into viable products
Strong understanding of food safety standards and production processes
Innovative mindset with strong execution capability
