About the Role
The Diesel Marketer is responsible for driving revenue growth through the promotion and sale of diesel supply solutions to businesses across target industries. The role involves identifying and developing new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and ensuring consistent achievement of sales targets.
The ideal candidate will engage with prospective and existing clients to understand their energy needs and position tailored diesel supply solutions that support operational efficiency. This role requires strong market intelligence, negotiation skills, and the ability to manage the end-to-end sales cycle—from lead generation to contract closure and post-sales relationship management.
Job description
Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, referrals, and market research.
Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations to prospective clients.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to secure profitable deals.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring strong and lasting business relationships.
Understand customer needs and provide tailored diesel supply solutions.
Respond promptly to customer inquiries, address concerns, and manage objections effectively.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
Prepare detailed quotations, cost estimates, and proposal documents in line with company pricing guidelines.
Participate in formal bidding processes and contract negotiations.
Gather and analyze market and customer information to identify trends, competitor activities, and new opportunities.
Provide insights to support strategic decision-making and product positioning.
Liaise with operations and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of diesel to clients.
Monitor product availability and coordinate with relevant teams to meet client demands.
Requirements
OND in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
1–3 years’ experience in sales, preferably within the oil and gas or energy sector
Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
Good understanding of the downstream oil and gas market
Ability to work independently and meet targets in a fast-paced environment
