Quantity Surveying Intern / Graduate Trainee

Key Responsibilities :

• Assist in taking off and calculating quantities of materials and labor from architectural, structural, electrical, and mechanical drawings.
• Support the preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and schedules of materials.
• Aid in preparing preliminary cost estimates and budgets for various construction elements.
• Support cost analysis and price comparisons for materials and subcontractor services.
• Help in the preparation of tender and contract documents.
• Assist with the valuation of variations and changes to the project scope.
• Support in reviewing subcontractor quotations and preparing payment certificates.
• Participate in site visits to gather data, measure progress, and assist in site inspections.
• Help maintain accurate records of project expenditures and budgets.
• Assist in preparing progress reports and financial summaries for review.
• Support the orderly filing and management of project documentation.
• Learn about and assist in ensuring compliance with relevant construction contracts, standards, and regulations.
• Work closely with project managers, site engineers, procurement teams, and other project stakeholders.
