Key Responsibilities
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.Provide legal advice and support to various departments on business-related matters.Ensure the organization complies with statutory obligations and regulatory requirements.Liaise with external solicitors and follow up on ongoing litigation and court matters.Maintain proper records of legal documents and case files.Assist in company secretarial functions including filing with CAC and attending board meetings.Stay updated on relevant legislation, case law, and industry trends.Support in risk management and policy development.Requirements & Qualifications
LL.B degree from a recognized university; B.L from the Nigerian Law School.13 years post-call experience in legal practice or corporate legal department.Solid understanding of corporate law, contract law, property law, and regulatory frameworks.Strong analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.Preferred Experience (Not Mandatory)
Previous in-house counsel experience.Experience in real estate, finance, or commercial law.Familiarity with CAC filings and documentation.Why Work With Us?
