We are looking for a Head of Marketing & Sales who will be responsible for leading all branding, marketing, and new business development for the company’s expansion. The ideal candidate will have a strong entrepreneurial mindset, strategic thinking abilities, and a proven track record in launching and scaling brands in the personal care or FMCG sectors.
Key Responsibilities :
Marketing & Brand Strategy
- Develop and implement go-to-market strategies to position the brand competitively in West Africa.
- Oversee brand portfolio development, ensuring strong visibility and consumer appeal.
- Create and execute integrated marketing campaigns across digital and traditional platforms.
- Analyse market trends and competitor activity to refine pricing, promotions, and positioning strategies.
- Ensure brand consistency and alignment with customer preferences across different regions.
Sales & Business Development
Lead market penetration efforts in Nigeria and Benin, establishing a strong distribution network.Build and manage relationships with distributors, retailers, and e-commerce partners.Identify and capitalize on market gaps and sales opportunities.Optimize sales processes and channel strategies to drive revenue growth.Set and monitor KPIs to track performance and align with business objectives.Leadership & Team Development
Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing sales and marketing team.Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and data-driven decision-making.Ensure the team meets and exceeds revenue and brand growth targets.Financial & Commercial Management
Develop and manage sales and marketing budgets, ensuring cost-effective strategies.Drive ROI optimization for marketing spend.Negotiate contracts and key partnerships to secure long-term growth.Personal Specification
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.10+ years of experience in a sales & marketing leadership role, preferably in personal care, cosmetics, beauty, or FMCG sectors.Proven expertise in market entry strategies, distributor management, and brand building.Strong experience in digital marketing, e-commerce, and retail expansion.Strategic thinker with strong market analysis skills.Proven leadership & team development experience.Excellent negotiation & relationship management abilities.Data-driven approach to sales and marketing decision-making.Resilient and adaptable to fast-paced and evolving market conditions.
