Accountant

Job Description

The Accountant will support the Finance team by performing essential daily accounting tasks, ensuring the accuracy and compliance of all financial transactions. This role offers a solid foundation for a career in accounting, providing hands-on experience in the core functions of financial record-keeping and reporting.

Key Responsibilities (JD)

Accurately enter and process daily financial transactions into the general ledger, maintaining detailed records.

Assist with monthly and quarterly bank and account reconciliation to identify and resolve discrepancies.

Support the processing of Accounts Payable (A / P) and Accounts Receivable (A / R) , including verifying invoices and processing payments / receipts.

Assist senior accountants with the preparation of financial schedules, reports, and supporting documentation for month-end and year-end closing processes.

Ensure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal financial controls.

Prepare necessary documentation and provide support during internal and external audits.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 0–1 year of experience (internships and academic projects count).
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP)
• Solid understanding of GAAP, the accounting cycle, and basic financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement).
• Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to accuracy.
