Job Description
Excellium is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head of Sales, who will lead the sales function responsible for driving revenue growth, market penetration, and customer acquisition for the company’s ERP solutions. This role requires a strong blend of commercial leadership, solution-selling expertise, and a deep understanding of ERP systems. The Head of Sales will oversee the end-to-end sales cycle, build high-performing teams, and develop strategies to increase the organization’s footprint in Nigeria’s ERP market.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Identify prospects and qualify new business opportunities in target industries (Finance, Manufacturing, Retail, Logistics, HR, etc.).
- Lead end-to-end sales cycle : prospecting → demo coordination → proposal development → negotiation → closing.
- Promote company ERP products (Dynamics, Sage, Zoho, or in-house solutions) and related services (implementation, support, customization, training).
- Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team
- Track performance, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop training programs to strengthen the team’s product knowledge and selling capabilities.
- Foster a high-performance, target-driven culture.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations, product demos, and solution pitches to potential clients.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships with key decision-makers (CEOs, CFOs, CIOs, HR Directors, Operations Managers).
- Respond to RFPs, develop proposals, and create commercial quotations.
- Understand client needs and align solutions that address their business challenges.
- Maintain regular follow-ups and ensure customer satisfaction after onboarding.
- Coordinate with technical and implementation teams to ensure smooth handover after sales.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline using CRM
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports for management review.
- Work with marketing teams on campaigns, events, and lead-generation activities.
- Collaborate with solution consultants to create tailored demos and POCs.
- Provide market feedback for product improvement and service enhancements.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape within the Nigerian ERP ecosystem.
- Identify new market segments and develop go-to-market plans.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and professional networks
- Develop partnerships and alliances to expand reach.
Requirements
Qualification : Bachelors / HND in any relevant fieldProven track record of success of minimum of 5 years in enterprise sales, preferably in the business software industryDeep understanding of complex sales cycles and consultative selling techniques.Strong knowledge of enterprise software solutions and industry trends.Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.Ability to build rapport and trust with enterprise decision makersStrong negotiation, persuasive convince and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in CRM tools and sales methodologies.Self-motivated and results oriented.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Experienced in B2B or cloud solution sales will be an advantage.Technical experience or technical background will be an added advantage.Must be Tech Savvy with the ability to talk tech and use most productivity software such as ERP, HCM, Payroll, Manufacturing software.Effective relationship building / growing skills, with the ability to deliver results simultaneously in a cross-functional environment.Effective written and verbal communication skills and excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with the ability to plan, pitch, and execute sales strategies.Exceptional customer service skills.Must be willing to resume immediatelyBenefits
