Chef – Chinese Cuisine Specialist

Job Description :

An experienced and innovative Chef with a strong background in Chinese culinary traditions, specializing in authentic and contemporary Chinese cuisine. Skilled in preparing, cooking, and presenting diverse Chinese dishes with expertise in stir-frying, steaming, braising, roasting, and noodle-making. Adept at menu creation, kitchen management, and maintaining high standards of food quality and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities :

Prepare and cook authentic Chinese dishes, including regional specialties (Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Northern, etc.).

Develop creative menus that balance traditional flavors with modern presentation.

Ensure consistency in taste, portioning, and plating across all dishes.

Supervise and train kitchen staff in Chinese cooking techniques and safety standards.

Source and manage inventory of Chinese ingredients, spices, and condiments.

Maintain kitchen cleanliness and compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.

Collaborate with management to design seasonal and special menus for events.

Monitor food costs and minimize waste while ensuring quality.

Provide excellent customer satisfaction through authentic culinary experiences.

Skills & Expertise :

Deep knowledge of Chinese culinary traditions, flavors, and techniques.

Proficiency in wok handling, dim sum preparation, dumpling making, and noodle crafting.

Strong organizational and leadership abilities in a fast-paced kitchen.

Creativity in fusion cuisine while preserving authenticity.

Excellent knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene.
