Full-stack Developer (Backend Focus) (Nigeria)

Job Summary We are seeking a Full stack Developer with a strong backend focus to design, build, and optimize scalable web applications.

This role involves developing secure and high performance backend systems, building APIs, managing databases, and ensuring seamless integration with frontend services.

The ideal candidate is proactive, technically solid across modern JavaScript stacks, and comfortable improving system architecture while collaborating closely with product, design, and marketing teams to deliver reliable, business aligned solutions.

Core Task : Develop and optimize scalable and dynamic back-end features Collaborate to ensure seamless integration between frontend and backend services Create secure and scalable user authentication and login systems Optimize web applications for speed, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility Collaborate with design and marketing to align technical solutions with business goals Design, develop, and maintain scalable / efficient backend systems Build and maintain APIs to support front-end functionality Manage and optimize database performance, ensuring data integrity and security Develop solutions for improving the overall system architecture to support the legacy site Implement best practices for backend performance, including caching & load balancing Troubleshoot and debug applications to ensure seamless functionality and uptime Must-Have : 3+ years of experience as a full-stack developer, with strong backend focus Back-end : intermediate - advanced skills with Typescript, Node.js, Postgres, AWS (CDK, Lambda, S3, API gateway, etc) Front end : intermediate - advanced skills with Typescript, React, Tailwind CSS, ShadCN Hands on experience leveraging AI / LLM dev tools like Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor, etc Strong task management skills; avoids last-minute chaos by thinking ahead Demonstrated track record of taking initiative and solving problems independently Familiarity with scrum / agile development methodologies Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git or similar tool) Strong written and verbal English communication skills Ability to work full-time EST Nice to Have : Intermediate experience with Python Experience building technology for social media / digital marketing use cases Powered by JazzHR
