The Head of Research and Intelligence is a strategic leadership role responsible for developing and executing the firm’s research and intelligence strategy. The ideal candidate will lead a high-performing team while also being a hands-on contributor, leveraging deep technical expertise to drive impactful insights. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in a business consulting firm with practice areas in Strategy & Operations Transformation (SOT), Digital Learning, People Transformation, Business Solutions, and Training Hub services.
Key Responsibilities :
Strategic Leadership & Execution
- Develop and implement the firm’s research and intelligence strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market trends.
- Conduct in-depth research on market trends, competitive intelligence, industry benchmarking, and client-specific research.
- Utilise advanced statistical methods, data analytics, and visualisation tools to derive actionable insights.
- Develop and implement innovative research methodologies and best practices to enhance decision-making
- Personally oversee and contribute to key research projects to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Develop and implement processes for gathering, analysing, and disseminating competitive intelligence.
- Utilise open-source intelligence (OSINT) techniques, data subscriptions, and social media monitoring tools.
- Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities, providing timely intelligence briefings to senior management and client teams.
- Provide research and intelligence support to client engagement teams, contributing to proposals, presentations, and project delivery.
- Support business development by identifying market opportunities and contributing to compelling value propositions.
- Publish research papers, contribute to industry discussions, and position the firm as a thought leader in business consulting.
- Drive innovation within the research function, incorporating AI-powered tools and advanced analytics techniques.
- Develop and manage the research and intelligence budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficient resource allocation.
Requirements
Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Market Research, Data Science, or a related field preferred.Minimum of 6 years of progressive, hands-on experience in research and intelligence within a business consulting firm.Deep expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., R, SPSS, SAS) and data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).Experience with data mining, machine learning, and natural language processing (NLP) is a strong advantage.Strong data interpretation, forecasting, and predictive modelling capabilities.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesise complex information and provide actionable insights.Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.Excellent project management skills, with attention to detail and quality.
