Job description

Candidate Profile : -

Education : Chartered Accountant (CA) with a minimum of 8 years of experience in Treasury Management.

Skills and Expertise :

  • Proficient in foreign exchange hedging, SWAPS, and currency trading.
  • Working knowledge of credit rating processes and Commercial Papers issuance (desirable).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to operate in ambiguous market conditions, especially in local foreign exchange markets.

Key Responsibilities :

Banking Transactions :

  • Engage with banks for foreign exchange bidding to the Central Bank of Nigeria.
  • Source foreign exchange from exporters via banks for trade transactions, dividend payments, and capital repatriation.

    • Forex Management :

  • Follow up with banks for forward delivery of forex purchased as forwards.
  • Sell export proceeds and capital importation proceeds effectively.

    • Strategic Operations :

  • Execute SWAPS for forwards to manage forex and liquidity efficiently.

    • Compliance and Reporting :

  • Ensure all transactions comply with local regulations and maintain accurate documentation for audits.
