Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Field Engineer to support installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of ISP services.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring seamless internet connectivity and network performance at customer premises while delivering a high standard of technical service and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

1. Installation & Configuration

Install and configure ISP services at customer locations, including routers, modems, switches, and related networking equipment.

Ensure installations comply with technical specifications and company standards.

Test and verify service performance to meet speed, reliability, and quality benchmarks.

Educate customers on proper equipment usage and basic troubleshooting procedures.

2. Troubleshooting & Technical Support

Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues, hardware faults, and service disruptions.

Respond promptly to service calls and customer complaints.

Escalate complex technical issues to Network Operations or Support teams where necessary.

Maintain accurate documentation of service activities, resolutions, and technical reports.

3. Customer Service & Communication

Deliver professional and courteous service during site visits.

Communicate technical information clearly and effectively to non-technical customers.

Provide recommendations for service upgrades or network optimization where applicable.

Collaborate with Sales and Account Management teams to relay customer feedback and identify upsell opportunities.

4. Quality Assurance & Compliance

Ensure all installations adhere to company policies, SLAs, and regulatory standards.

Conduct quality checks and routine service audits.

Stay updated on emerging networking technologies and ISP best practices to enhance service delivery.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent (Technical certification or Degree in Electrical / Electronics, Computer Engineering, or related field is an advantage).

3–5 years proven experience in network installation within an ISP or telecommunications environment.

Strong knowledge of networking concepts, TCP / IP, routers, switches, modems, fiber, and structured cabling.

Proficiency in troubleshooting network connectivity issues.

Familiarity with Windows, Linux, macOS, and network diagnostic tools.

Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to customer sites.

Physical capability to lift and install networking equipment.
