Systems Administrator Cloud Operations Specialist

Reports To : Head of ITO and Systems

The Systems Administrator / Cloud Operations Specialist is a dynamic and essential role responsible for maintaining the high availability security and performance of our core server infrastructure and critical data protection strategies. This position serves as the organizations primary expert for enterprise cloud backup solutions and leverages technical expertise to directly support the innovation and deployment phases of new product lines. This is a highly collaborative position requiring a blend of operational excellence and forward-thinking engineering support.

1. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

A. Cloud Backup and Data Protection Management (Cloud Operations)

• Strategy and Execution : Manage and coordinate the organizations enterprise-level cloud backup and recovery strategy including configuration monitoring and tuning for optimal performance and capacity.
• Disaster Recovery (DR) : Design implement and rigorously test Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity (BC) protocols to minimize downtime and ensure recovery objectives ($RTO$ and $RPO$) are met for all critical business data.
• Auditing and Compliance : Conduct regular audits of backup job status retention policies and security posture to ensure strict adherence to internal compliance standards and industry best practices.
• Cost Management : Monitor and optimize cloud storage usage and egress costs associated with the backup solution.
